Writer & illustrator Moebius
I wish I could read French. The Airtight Garage is considered to be Moebius’ masterpiece but unfortunately the English translation has been out of print for around 20 years and the old editions sell for at least £100. I got bored of waiting for a reissue so ended up buying a large format French edition and Moebius’ linework looks impeccable. The French edition uses the original black and white artwork whilst the English translation was coloured, but the coloured version was generally well received and hopefully one day I’ll be able to compare them side-by-side.
